Zookoda up for Auction!
This journey started back in August 2005 when Yorke came to me with the idea of Zookoda - We launched in March 2006 via TechCrunch - zookoda-20-launches - this followed on from Mike's seminal piece on blog marketing - blogs-need-an-email-solution
To us Zookoda has been a great success. Over 5200 blog publishers have adopted Zookoda as their blog marketing tool of choice with a total circulation in excess of 1.2 million. www.zookoda.com is ranked in the Top 1% of URLs across the net (according to www.alexa.com) and has a rolling 3 month average ranking of around 15,000. According to www.technorati.com there have been over 700 articles written about Zookoda (the vast majority positive!).
The announcement of Zookoda being up for sale has just broken on TechCrunch. Quivalent is asking for expressions of interest to be submitted to Quivalent from Monday 25th September 2006 to Friday 6th October 2006. Final bids are to be submitted no later than Friday 13th October 2006. Quivalent will then consider the bids and make a decision on the best entity to take on the running of Zookoda. Even then there will be a handover period which we expect to last at least one month. As such - NOTHING WILL CHANGE for at least a couple of months. During this process we will continue to communicate with you via email and here at the Zookoda blog.
One very important point is that all email addresses currently entered in the system are owned by you and not by Quivalent / Zookoda. You have the right to add or delete your mailing lists from the system at any time.
